Holidays to Dubai getting popular for footballIt seems a number of families took the opportunity to book quick holidays to Dubai in the last few days in order to watch David Beckham play his first game with adopted team AC Milan.

The former England captain took part in a game against Hamburg - which ended with a Milan victory after a penalty shoot-out - and said it felt like a real family event.

"Felt just like when I was at (Manchester) United, they had families here sitting with the kids and it brings back memories," he commented.

Beckham will be with Milan for three months before returning to LA Galaxy in spring and is currently staying in Dubai with his family.

Meanwhile, off-duty footballers are also taking holidays to Dubai. Reading full-back Liam Rosenior headed to the emirate after being rested for his side's recent FA Cup match - and met two of his team mates lounging around the same hotel pool.
