Etihad to have cabin image overhaulPeople travelling on flights with Etihad Airways may soon benefit from refurbished planes and improved cabin facilities following an announcement made today (January 14th).

According to Design Week, the carrier is to embark on a design programme which will see all its aircraft get an overhaul and which it hopes will improve the flying experience for passengers.

"Etihad is a very successful and very wealthy airline, and that is reflected in its investment for the future," said a spokesperson from Honour Branding, one of the companies assisting with Etihad's design projects.

In related news, Etihad chairman Dr Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan has been given a prestigious award for the work he has put into the airline and its subsequent growth.

He was presented with the Innovation I Business award at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi.

Etihad was launched in 2003 with its first flight to Al Ain and has since provided services to almost 14 million passengers going on more than 87,000 flights.
