Dubai literature festival 'will be a bestseller'

The first Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature (EAIFL) is likely to go down a storm with people on holidays to Dubai from the UK, its organisers have claimed.

The first Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature (EAIFL) is likely to go down a storm with people on holidays to Dubai from the UK, its organisers have claimed.

According to Isobel Abulhoul, over 60 top authors are to join in the festivities, which will begin on February 26th and go on until March 1st.

Featured authors include Kate Adie, Anthony Horowitz, Jamil Qureshi and Sir Ranulph Fiennes and the EAIFL website states that genres will range from contemporary fiction to sci-fi.

"Our objective is to stimulate, to enlighten and most importantly to entertain you," said Ms Abulhoul.

Book lovers will be able to collect special event 'boarding passes' in order to meet their literary idols and ask them questions about their writing careers.

Anyone looking for flights to Dubai in time for the festival could consider booking with Emirates, the sponsor of the event, which offers a number of services from the UK.
