Ashley and Cheryl Cole may be about to take holidays to Dubai in order to renew their wedding vows.

This is according to reports in the Sun, which suggest that 28-year-old Ashley is about to surprise his wife with the romantic gesture at the end of the English football season.

Dubai is special to the celebrity pair because it is where they got engaged in 2005 and Ashley is rumoured to be splashing out on a new ring to present Cheryl with at the Al Mahra resort.

"He has been planning to do something special this summer to prove their relationship is back to how it was," an unnamed source told the newspaper.

The glamorous city state of Dubai is popular with footballers - Liverpool player Steven Gerrard has a property there and the Beckhams are regular visitors.

Cheryl's Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding was also snapped enjoying Dubai's beaches last year.
