Concorde may be heading to DubaiPeople on holidays to Dubai may soon be able to visit the last Concorde.

According to reports in the Times, Alpha Bravo may be shipped over to the emirate in order to become a tourist attraction similar to the QE2.

The fleet of seven Concordes was grounded in 2003 and six have already been given to museums.

However, a source close to British Airways (BA) said that a consortium of former pilots of the aircraft is planning to make arrangements to ship the seventh to Dubai.

"It would be very well taken care of in Dubai," the unnamed source opined.

BA declined to comment on the potential move.

Today (April 9th) marks the 40th anniversary of Concorde's first ever flight, which was a 22-minute trip from Bristol to Gloucestershire.

Meanwhile, the QE2 was sent over to Dubai in November 2008 in order to be refurbished and turned into a seven star floating hotel.
