Rihanna 'to perform in Dubai'

Music lovers and fans of Rihanna in particular may wish to snap up flights to Dubai in order to catch a concert by their idol.

Music lovers and fans of Rihanna in particular may wish to snap up flights to Dubai in order to catch a concert by their idol.

The R&B singer is to perform a special set in the emirate on May 28th, the first concert she will have done since January, E! Online reports.

Although the exact venue in the city is yet to be confirmed, Dubai Tourism spokesperson Mary Rachelle Cherpak said there will be more than 25,000 tickets available.

"They will be going on sale in the next couple of days … Normally they create a special stage in the desert for these events," she added.

Umbrella diva Rihanna - who is reported to be launching her own fragrance with Kanye West - was seen to have been back in the studio this month to record new material after personal problems with former boyfriend Chris Brown earlier in 2009.
