"Renowned" vegetarian chef in partnership with Swiss airlineSwiss International Airline will soon be offering passengers "creatively prepared meatless meals" in a new partnership with "renowned" vegetarian restaurant Hiltl, it has been reported.

From May 27th, passengers flying with the carrier will be able to enjoy the new "healthy and contemporary flavourful" vegetarian meals, created by chef Rolf Hiltl and his team.

Dishes include vegetable paella with aubergine and red paprika and spinach tagliatelle with artichoke and saffron feta sauce.

Hiltl opened the first-ever vegetarian restaurant in Europe in 1898 in Zurich and the company is now run by the fourth generation of the family.

According to Swiss, the restaurant name is "known beyond Switzerland's borders as a gourmet temple" and its dishes should compliment the airline's Taste of Swizerland culinary concept introduced seven years ago.

Swiss offer flights to more than 90 destinations worldwide including flights to Delhi and Mubai in India and Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa.

The airline also flies to Bangkok and offers flights to Dubai.Meet the editors...
