There are many things about a holiday in Dubai that can inspire the word "wow", according to a travel writer.

One of these things is the ten-acre Dubai Mall, which is the largest shopping arcade in the world, said Frank Barrett, writing for the Daily Mail.

However, the sight with the biggest wow-factor according to Mr Barrett is the Burj Dubai tower, which cost approximately £2.75 billion to build and is the tallest man-made structure in the world - standing at 2,684 feet tall.

"Each morning ... I would throw back the curtains and stand amazed at the tower, which filled the view from my balcony like a giant rocket ready to blast off," he explained.

Mr Barrett went on to say that at the moment, there are some really great deals to be found on holidays to Dubai offering "exceptionally good value" - especially on hotel room prices and flights.

According to Letsgo2.com, shopping is one of the biggest attractions for visitors heading to Dubai - especially due to the lower prices for gold and jewelry compared to the UK.Meet the editors...
