Dubai "is perfect for families"

Cheap holidays in Dubai are a great thing for a family to experience together, it has been asserted.

Parents considering packing up their suitcases and flying their brood out on cheap flights to Dubai over the coming months will be pleased to hear the recommendations of one travel expert.

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, travel counsellor Karen Goldman stated that Dubai is an ideal destination to take a family due to the range of things to do at any time of the year.

She added: "For instance, why not spend an afternoon learning to ski at the Emirates Mall, on one of the world's largest indoor ski slopes?"

Other attractions Ms Goldman highlights are the two water parks Wild Wadi and Aquaventure, as well as new theme parks which are set to open in the future, offering "first class sports attractions, entertainment complexes and lots of new and exciting hotels".

Furthermore, she adds, families heading off on their cheap holidays to Dubai later this month will be able to enjoy its new metro system and bypass traffic jams and driving in a foreign country.

Another potential boost to Dubai's tourism was announced this week, as Maktoob Business reported that a 3,800-square-metre terminal capable of catering to three or four ships simultaneously may be up-and-running by early 2010. Meet the editors...
