Event aims to raise profile of flights to Dubai

A Middle East aviation industry event could put flights to Dubai firmly on the agenda.

Flights to Dubai could be on the agenda at an upcoming conference that seeks to raise the profile of the aviation industry in the Middle East.

The MRO Middle East Conference is due to open on February 28th, running until March 1st.

Over 1,710 commercial jets are expected to be needed across the Middle East in the coming 20 years, as reported in the Boeing 2009 market outlook.

Maintenance in the civilian aircraft sector - which is likely to be making flights to Dubai more comfortable for many passengers - is also cited as a supportive force in the market at present.

Alison Weller, director of the organiser F&E Aerospace, says: "The maintenance, repair and overhaul industry continues to thrive, even in the current economic climate."

F&E Aerospace is the aviation wing of Fairs and Exhibitions, which has been organising industry events across a number of different sectors since 1958.
