Dubai is 'hugely impressive'

People travelling to Dubai will not fail to be impressed by some of its landmarks, one journalist has claimed.

Anyone who has booked flights to Dubai may be unsure of what to expect from the largely desert state.

One journalist has commented that the buildings and sights of the emirate are "hugely impressive" in a recent blog post.

Writing on the Daily Mail's travel website, Chris Leadbeater recommended a number of its attractions to anyone planning to take holidays to Dubai.

One of the landmarks that no visitor can miss is the recently opened Burj Khalifa, declared the tallest building in the world standing at 828m high.

In addition to its height, the tower also boasts grounds with stunning water features and large garden spaces.

The Khor Dubai Creek is also worth taking time to see, he added, as well as suggesting spending some time exploring the offshore Palm Jumeirah development.

Mr Leadbeater said that the unusual feature "makes up for in scale and visionary design what it lacks in subtlety".
