Virgin American has signed a new agreement with airline Emirates to offer integrated travel for customers.

Virgin America teams up with EmiratesVirgin American has signed a new agreement with airline Emirates to offer integrated travel for customers.

The new arrangement means it is easier for travellers to book flights on Virgin America flights via Emirates without having to have multiple itineraries

"We're pleased to partner with an airline also known for offering travellers a world-class flying experience - with a focus on upscale amenities and outstanding service," said Adam Green, director of network planning at Virgin America.

"We hope this new agreement will offer guests a more seamless travel experience on two airlines known for the quality of their service."

Other benefits for travellers taking flights to Dubai include a shorter stop-over time and the ability for passengers from the US to link directly from Virgin America's gateways in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York or Toronto.

Emirates was named as having the World's Best Airline Inflight Entertainment in the recent Skytrax World Airline Awards.
