Moevenpick opens new Dubai hotel

Swiss-based Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened its fourth property this month in the United Arab Emirates.

Swiss-based Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened its fourth property this month in the United Arab Emirates.

The Moevenpick Hotel Deira is a 216-room property in the Deira district of Dubai and is convenient for those taking flights to Dubai as it is 15 minutes from the state's international airport.

Offering five-star accommodation, the hotel is also close to a metro station and provides easy access to a number of local attractions including six golf courses and the Spice and Gold Souqs.

Michael Nugent, the hotel's general manager, said: "While Dubai has been on a building boom, Deira's five-star hospitality sector has been somewhat stagnant and we mean to bring in new energy."

Guest facilities include wi-fi access, three dining establishments, a rooftop pool, gym and access to a private beach at the Oceana Beach Club on the Palm Jumeriah.
