Meydan Hotels considers third Dubai hotelA new beach hotel in Dubai could be the next venture for Meydan Hotels.

The company already operates the Bab Al Shams and Meydan luxury hotels in Dubai but are currently considering the possibility of adding another property to their portfolio.

"If we don't aim for more hotels, then we are in the wrong business," company vice-president Abdin Nasralla told Arabian Business.

"Our next move will be beach. I cannot confirm it, but I can say that is our thought. I hope that our thoughts will be transferred to reality as we did with Meydan itself."

The addition of a beach hotel could appeal to holidaymakers taking flights to Dubai and it would complement Meydan's existing hotels in Downtown Dubai and the desert.

The company is also looking at developing its overseas operations and could considering creating new properties in China and India to benefit from the growing demand for luxury accommodation in the region.
