Motocross stars from all over the world will descend on Dubai's Jumeirah Beach for the first leg of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour next week.

Jumeirah Beach to host Dubai X-Fighters event

International motocross riders are revving up in advance of next week's Red Bull X-Fighters event, which will take place on Dubai's Jumeirah Beach on April 15th and 16th.

The event, which is sure to attract several extreme sports fans on flights to Dubai, is the beginning of X-Fighters' world tour, which will also call at Rome, Madrid and Sydney later this year.

This is the first time that the event has been hosted in Dubai and it will be the first time that the competitors will be showing off their skills on sand.

Reigning champion Nate Adams will be fighting off 11 experienced hopefuls, including Andre Villa and Levi Sherwood.

The towering Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Burj al Arab will provide a spectacular backdrop for these riders and their adrenaline-filled aerobatic tricks.

Tickets are on sale now for the two-day event, with prices starting at Dh55 (£9) for standing and Dh145 for grandstand seats.
