Dubai International passenger numbers keep growingIf you're thinking of booking flights to Dubai this summer, then you're not alone, as recent figures show that the Emirati city's airport is getting even busier.

During the month of March, traffic results for Dubai International rose by 5.8 per cent year-on-year, with 4.2 million passengers passing through.

This makes the airport the fourth busiest in the world, with more than 27,000 planes landing there last month, up 6.3 per cent when compared with March 2010.

Furthermore, the number of people flying into Dubai was up by seven per cent for the quarter.

Paul Griffiths, chief executive officer of Dubai Airports, said: "Passenger traffic growth continues to be robust. At the current levels we are on track to exceed 50 million passengers this year."

Brits looking to book flights to Dubai from London can choose from a range of operators, including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Emirates.
