Emirates launches new flights to JohannesburgThe city of Johannesburg in South Africa will be the latest destination for Emirates' Airbus A380 fleet, the airline has announced.

Daily flights on the double-decker planes will begin on October 1st, in response to a 12 per cent year-on-year increase in South African travellers flying with Emirates.

The airline already runs 42 non-stop flights to South Africa, including services to Cape Town and Durban as well as Johannesburg.

Passengers on board the A380s will be able to see "the future of aviation", Emirates claims, as the 489-seater plane includes 76 lie-flat beds and 14 private First Class suites.

Furthermore, those travelling in first class can enjoy the two onboard shower spas, as well as access to the upstairs lounge.

The new flights will get you from Dubai International Airport to Johannesburg in around eight hours.

Emirates points out that passengers looking to book a stopover in Dubai can enjoy world-class facilities, such as indoor skiing and desert safaris.
