Egypt travellers could save via cheap flightsA new survey has revealed that Brits travelling to Egypt have to spend more money while they are away.

The Post Office's Holiday Costs Barometer has revealed a 39 per cent price increase in the country on ten typical products purchased by holidaymakers while abroad.

In the latest research a bottle of sun cream was found to set tourists back £12.28 while a three course evening meal for two adults, including a bottle of house wine, totalled an average of £62.23.

This could mean Brits may benefit from searching for cheap flights to Egypt to make sure their total holiday budget goes that little bit further.

The International Passenger Survey conducted by the Office of National Statistics showed there has been a 13 per cent rise in UK travellers opting for Egypt as a destination.

Egypt has a number of international airports including Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Taba, Saint Catherine, Burg el-Arab and Asyut.
