British holidaymakers top woes revealedBritish holidaymakers about to head abroad this year are a legion of worriers, if a new survey is anything to go by.

According to research carried out by Anthisan bite and sting cream, sunburn tops the list of things people are most likely to worry about before their holidays, followed by stomach upsets and bad weather.

Bad hotels, lost luggage and insect bites also ranked highly, with 34 per cent fearing being bitten by mosquitoes.

However, director of the World Health Organisation centre for travel medicine Dr Jane Zuckerman said that people need not worry as long as they take a few simple items with them.

These include pain killers, oral rehydration solutions, sun lotion and antiseptic cream, among other things.

Anyone travelling on flights to India may also be interested in advice provided by the Indax health website, which states that although mosquitoes are abundant there, most do not carry severe diseases and can be repelled by sprays and nets.
