Holidays to Goa could beat autumn bluesWith the nights drawing in for the UK, a travel magazine has drawn up a list of destinations which could help people to beat the autumn blues.

Among other places, Conde Naste Traveller recommended that holidays to Goa could offer an ideal location for some sunshine and a break from dark mornings.

"Part of the attraction lies in the fact that Goa has a character quite distinct from the rest of India," the magazine attests.

It adds that Goa's "perfect beaches" and temperate climate, as well as its diverse landscapes, mean that it continues to attract tourists from all over the world.

The publication also recommends that anyone considering booking holidays to Goa does so in time for the November to March season, since these months are cooler than the high season, which can be humid.

Goa is India's smallest state in terms of area, but handles 12 per cent of all foreign tourist arrivals in India, according to goenkar.com.
