Air France wins award for in-flight services

Air France has been given an award for the quality of its in-flight entertainment offerings, it has been announced.

According to Easier.com, the carrier picked up the accolade at the World Airline Entertainment Association in Los Angeles thanks to its recent improvements in the services it offers to passengers.

The airline announced the introduction of on-demand videos for its long-haul passengers in November, meaning that people are now able to choose from over 500 hours of programming, some of it exclusive.

Patrick Roux, vice-president of marketing for Air France, said the airline strives to enhance the experience for its passengers.

"With this prestigious prize for in-flight entertainment, we are delighted that [our] efforts have been rewarded by the air transport industry," he remarked.

Air France is based in Paris and is one of the world's largest airlines.

It offers services to some 83 countries, including flights to India, Thailand and South Africa, among others.
