Cricket reporter Tristan Holme has blogged about how much has enjoyed his recent holiday to Goa.

Writing for Cricket365.com, he said that the Indian resort was the only place he wanted to go when he had some spare time following the end of the test series, due to its relaxing atmosphere.

"As a holiday destination this place has most things: lots of good food, the cheapest drink in the country, long beaches and the laidback lifestyle that it all brings," he commented.

Mr Holme added that Goa has something for everyone, including great parties for those looking for a more active nightlife, as well as serene hotels for people who prefer a quieter holiday.

Anyone heading on holidays to Goa, may be interested to know that the period between October and March is generally regarded as the best time to visit.
