Indian festival to kick off in MumbaiCulture vultures may wish to book holidays to India in January in order to catch the annual Banganga Festival.

Although the exact date has not yet been confirmed, the event always takes place during the first month of the year and is a two-day musical extravaganza.

Held at the Banganga Tank, near to Malabar Point, it showcases Mumbai's heritage through traditional music and dancing and would be ideal for families looking to experience some authentic Indian culture.

Asia Rooms recommended: "The festival is a must-see for all culturally inclined musical enthusiasts. Mumbai is the city of dreams and has distinct heritage which has its manifestation in the Banganga festival."

The Banganga Tank incorporates historic temples that date back to the sixth century BC and look spectacular as an outdoor concert backdrop.

Anyone interested in booking flight to India for the event may wish to know that Jet Airways offers such services.
