Goas charm lies in its beautyPeople from the UK should take holidays to Goa if they want a relaxing break in a beautiful setting.

This is according to Sharat Dhall, spokesperson for online travel community TripAdvisor, who said that the Indian region is famed for its festivities, but does not come across as extravagant.

"The charm lies in enjoying the beauty that Goa has to offer," he commented.

Varca Beach in the south of Goa is recommended as an "enchanting oasis" by the website thanks to its peaceful nature and it being a good location for watching India's birds.

Meanwhile, the Lui Beach Resort is also suggested by the website as being the perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, as it is a stone's throw from the beach.

Anyone looking for flights to India may be interested to know that Emirates offers such services, with Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai all catered for by the carrier.
