People taking a flight to India or travelling on a flight to Dubai on business may wish to pay more attention to their expenses, a new report has revealed.

A survey has found that some 32 per cent of employees fail to claim back all of their business expenses when travelling - amounting to an average of £372 per traveller each year, according to Barclaycard.

Neil Radley, managing director of Barclaycard Commercial, said: "Anyone who regularly travels on business knows keeping track of all expenses can be tricky, especially when your top priority is your performance."

He went on to add that managing small but often repetitive costs is not always the most important concern when on a business trip.

The survey also indicated that the people most likely to lose track of their expenses are more senior employees and men more often than women.
