Jet Airways receives Abacus-Tafi AwardsPeople who are booking flights to India may want to know that Jet Airways won the Best Eastbound Airline from India and the Best Domestic Airline in India at a recent awards ceremony.

The Abacus-Tafi Awards - that were hosted by the Travel Agents Federation of India on October 23rd - saw the Indian airline walk away with two titles.

Winners are chosen by their peers in the travel industry. Nikos Kardassis, acting chief executive officer at Jet Airways, commented: "They are among the foremost awards in the Indian travel trade industry," adding that the carrier was "delighted" to have won.

The carrier offers flights to 63 destinations around the world and globally it is one of the fastest growing airlines.

Since its launch in 1993, Jet Airways has expanded its routes and now flies to 20 international destinations.

The company also has a no-frills budget arm called Jet Airways Konnect that offers routes to key domestic cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
