14 per cent of Brits have said that a holiday to a far flung country such as India would be their dream break - which could make cheap flights to India the top of some wish lists.

Cheap flights to India could be dream come true for BritsBritish holidaymakers are developing a love of exotic and far-flung holidays, new figures show - and with many highlighting India as a dream destination, cheap flights to the country could be great news.
According to findings from swiftcover.com, there has been a sharp rise in the number of people taking out holiday policies for adventurous destinations.

Now, nearly one in four travel insurance policies sold by the firm are to cover long-haul jaunts, compared to just one in five a few years back.

Out of more than 1,000 people surveyed, 14 per cent said that a holiday "off the beaten track" to India or China would be their dream getaway. Ancient ruins such as those on offer at Peru's Machu Picchu were also highlighted by 14 per cent of travellers as a perfect sight to see.

It would seem that Brits are an adventurous bunch, with 23 per cent saying they would like to go white water rafting and 16 per cent saying they would be interested in doing a parachute jump.

Australian destinations could be perfect for these adventure-seeking Brits and is home to many well known bungee jumping and climbing spots - Sydney visitors could even tackle the famous Harbour Bridge.
