An Indian airline has been named as the preferred airline for business class travel.

India airline wins industry awardAn Indian airline has been named as the preferred airline for business class travel.

Jet Airways picked up the award at the fourth CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards. Held in New Delhi, the title was presented by honourable minister for tourism Kumari Selja and is seen as a key industry event.

The award results are based on a consumer study which is conducted in 11 cities across India and involves people who make use of corporate, adventure and general public travel services.

Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer, Jet Airways, said: "The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards 2010 are widely respected across the tourism and trade industry and we are delighted to receive this honour."

He added that Jet Airways has always focused on customer service and offering passengers a positive travel experience.

The airline currently offers flights to 25 domestic destinations as well as two international airports and has expanded significantly since its maiden flight in 1993.
