Darjeeling: A panoramic townFans of the movie the Darjeeling Limited who are on cheap flights to India will have to follow in the footsteps of the three brothers at the centre of the film by visiting Darjeeling.

The town is a renowned tourist destination most famous for its railway station and its eponymous tea industry.

Located in West Bengal, the Himalayan town sits against an amazing backdrop, where you can take in the magnificent sight of Khangchendzonga, the third highest mountain in the world.

There is much to explore in Darjeeling, from colonial time mansions that were busy during the time of the British Raj to old churches and temples where many people worshipped to a multitude of botanical gardens.

Naturally, there are plenty of shops for people to purchase various handcrafted gifts, but it's the cafes that sell traditional Indian and Tibetan tea where people can spend their money wisely.

In 2007, Wes Anderson released the film the Darjeeling Limited. Much of the story takes place on a train that takes the main characters across the Indian subcontinent.
