Freida Pinto hopes to make return to Indian film

People getting flights to India could soon see actress Freida Pinto working on films again in the country.

The star, who made her name internationally in Slumdog Millionaire and is currently appearing in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, has stated that she would like to work on movies in her native country again.

She explained that while she knows people may think she has done nothing in India, she is in fact honing her talents to come back with plenty of skills.

"The reason I'm doing these things outside my country is to be able to come back to India equipped with the knowledge and understanding of how to hopefully produce my own films one day," Pinto said.

Pinto could be one of the many people taking flights to India soon in order to celebrate the Raksha Bandhan, which commemorates the relationships between brothers and sisters by tying bracelets on to their wrists.
