India a great place to see interesting bird species Travellers taking flights to Ahmedabad who want to learn more about Indian wildlife on their trip could be interested in looking out for the bird species in the region.

The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat has noted that the region is a wonderful place to see many rare species of birds, which often cannot be found in other locations.

Listing some of the most interesting species to look out for during a trip, it noted that the Great Indian Bustard and the Lesser Florican are among attractions, as well as three species of Pelican and four different varieties of Bulbuls.

"Apart from providing food and habitat to a variety of resident birds, the wetlands in the state provide the perfect habitat for migratory birds," the authority added.

People who take flights to Ahmedabad could find that there are soon stricter rules in place for airport security, after new policies were recently introduced in Mumbai.
