Buddhist art festival coming to DelhiPeople catching flights to Delhi in the next week or so may find the Buddhist arts and culture festival taking place between November 28th and December 1st of interest.

Hosted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations to commemorate the 2,600th year of enlightenment of Lord Buddha, the event will see cinema screenings from places like Nepal and Sri Lanka put on, as well as performing arts groups appearing in public spaces, the Times of India reports.

Those getting off flights to Delhi to coincide with the festival will have the chance to familiarise themselves with the influence Buddhism has had on performing arts and traditions.

A coffee table book, Sharnam Gacchami: An Album of Awakening, is also to be unveiled by the Dalai Lama on November 30th, which holidaymakers may be tempted to purchase.

Jet-setters may also wish to make their way to Goa to catch a few films at the International Film Festival of India, on until December 3rd.
