Some of the biggest names in football visited Cape Town on Sunday (July 20th) to carry out charity work.

Ryan Giggs and Chris Eagles both took time out of Manchester United's pre-season tour of South Africa to see first-hand Unicef's anti-Aids projects in the country.

The team's partnership with the charity, United for Unicef, has so far raised £2 million for the cause.

Giggs and Eagles visited the Sonke Gender Justice project in Cape Town, where they spent the afternoon with a group of delighted young people and took part in workshops on how the country aims to prevent the disease.

Anyone looking for a destination where they can carry out their own charity work, for example on a gap year, could consider emulating the Manchester United players and booking flights to Cape Town.
