Ferguson sings praises of South AfricaFollowing a successful tour of the country with Manchester United, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said he believes South Africa will be an excellent destination for the 2010 World Cup.

Having picked up a trophy for winning the Vodacom Challenge last week, the acclaimed football boss took time out to speak about the hospitality the team received during their visit.

"The organisation and security during our stay has been outstanding and the atmosphere at the stadiums during the games has been terrific. There has not been one issue for us throughout our stay. It has been first class.

He added that he believes South Africa has the enthusiasm to make the competition in summer 2010 work well.

Anyone interested in booking flights to Johannesburg for the World Cup may be interested to know that there are only 682 days until kick off as of today (July 28th).

Tickets for the matches will be available through Fifa in 2009.
