South Africas Kruger among worlds best wildlife sitesKruger National Park has been recommended as one of the best places in the world to spot animals in their natural habitat.

Craig Becker, writing for Gadling, listed his top five destinations for watching wildlife and said the South African park ranked particularly highly thanks to its unique setting and landscape.

"Few places on Earth can compare to Kruger National Park," he commented, adding that visitors have a good chance of seeing the big five animals - lions, elephants, leopards, cape buffalo, and rhinos - from their vehicles.

Additionally, there are as many as 500 different species of birds within the boundaries of the park, which may please twitchers.

Yoon Chui of the Korea Times is also enthusiastic about Kruger, writing recently that a trip to the national park is much better than a visit to the zoo, because the animals are as they would be in the wild and tourists can enjoy unobstructed views of them.
