Emirates to launch new flights to DurbanTravellers taking a holiday in South Africa this year may wish to take part in some of the events being held by Emirates Airline.

In celebration of new flights to Durban by the carrier, Emirates will be holding a series of roadshows in destinations around South Africa, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, George, Port Elizabeth and Durban.

The new service operating to Durban will supplement the airline's existing flights to South Africa, which include a daily flight to Cape Town and three flights per day to Johannesburg.

"Africa has played an increasing role in the expansion of Emirates since we launched flights to Cairo back in 1986," said Nigel Page, Emirates' senior vice-president of commercial operations in the Americas and Africa.

"We look forward to further exciting work on the continent," he added.

Travellers taking a holiday in South Africa during August may wish to visit Parys from the 7th to the 9th for the Full Moon Festival.

Aimed at families, the event includes bonfires, live bands, games, food and drink. Meet the editors...
