Durban 'gets ready for 2010 visitors'

Many developments have been taking place in South Africa ahead of the 2010 World Cup in Durban.

Those booking a flight to South Africa for the 2010 football World Cup may find that many developments have been taking place.

A new stadium is being built in Durban, inspired by the South African flag.

"This impressive new structure on the Durban skyline is a world-class, state-of-the-art, multifunctional arena," explained Zulu Kingdom tourism.

A new mode of public transport is also to be introduced to allow those on holiday in South Africa to get around Durban more easily.

The People Mover "is probably the most exciting mode of transport to ever hit Durban's streets," and links areas such as the beachfront and Victoria Street Market.

According to the tourist board, the scenery, wildlife, culture and beaches of the city will encourage people to "spread the news" about what is on offer on a holiday in Durban.

Southafrica.net states that Durban benefits from a year-round subtropical climate and is the most popular destination for South Africans taking a domestic holiday.
