A new discount card is available for people taking a holiday in South Africa.

Discount card launched for holidaymakers in Africa

Those visiting South Africa on holiday may wish to take advantage of a new card that offers discounts to travellers across the continent.

On average, holidaymakers and business travellers will be able to receive 20 per cent off items such as car hire, spas and accommodation, makers of the card claim.

Twelve different African countries are participating in the offer and more than 5,000 accommodation venues including lodges, self-catering apartments and hotels have joined the scheme.

For discounts to be obtained, travellers must purchase the Exquisite Card at either a daily, yearly or biannual rate.

"All establishments and partners of Exquisite Card are expected to meet rigorous standards, because today's travellers expect a high level of product and service," explained Mark Goveia, who is behind the card.

Travellers visiting South Africa on holiday from August 28th to September 6th may wish to head to the Pretoria Show.
