South Africa being revitalised with construction

Those catching flights to South Africa may find that the country's landscape is rapidly changing for the best as increasing numbers of building projects continue to work towards the greater development of the region.

This is according to the BBC, which reported today that those visiting South Africa in 2009 and beyond will notice significant structural changes, particularly as it prepares to host the World Cup next year.

A government package of US$70 billion (£42.4 billion) has played a huge part in the evolving landscape of South Africa, it added.

However, Francois Diedrechsen, commercial director of construction firm Raubex told the news provider that although the money has not run out yet, this will change in the future.

"We're not oblivious to that fact. Hence we've been proactive in shifting our boundaries and expanding into Africa," he continued.

Meanwhile, those jetting off on a cheap holiday to South Africa will be able to use a brand new visitor information centre this year, which was opened earlier this month in preparation for the World Cup.
