Cape Town attracts stars for World Cup drawAnyone booking holidays to South Africa to coincide with the football World Cup next year will probably be eagerly anticipating the draw for the tournament which is due to take place tomorrow (December 4th).

Stars have been heading to Cape Town this week, with the likes of David Beckham and Charlize Theron being spotted at some of the city's most exclusive resorts.

Although the match schedule was finalised months ago, the draw will determine the groups for the 32 teams that have qualified for the finals.

England, Germany, South Africa and Brazil are among the competition's top-seeded participants.

For holidaymakers who would like to avoid the hype of the World Cup, the Daily Telegraph has offered a number of suggestions for alternative attractions in the host nation.

The latest article includes information about the Hector Pietersen museum in Soweto, which chronicles the country's apartheid history.

It also includes a memorial dedicated to the memory of those killed in the Soweto children's uprising of 1976.
