Flights to South Africa for the World Cup to be popularFlights to Cape Town and Johannesburg are sure to be popular summer when the football World Cup kicks off in South Africa.

Writing for the Daily Telegraph, sports Journalist Brendan Gallagher predicted that football fans travelling to the country are likely to be on their best behaviour, while the host nation is sure to embrace the occasion.

"So, fingers are firmly crossed this summer when football's World Cup decamps in the Rainbow Nation for a month or more," he added.

"The sporting calender in 2010 is dominated by the gathering of the football clans."

Mr Gallagher went on to say that when South Africa hosted the rugby World Cup, it was an uplifting experience and he anticipated that the country is likely to embrace its football equivalent with the same enthusiasm.

Football fans hoping to travel to the World Cup can obtain tickets through Fifa's official website.
