Tips for South Africa ultimate experiencesAnyone who has booked their flights to South Africa and is eagerly awaiting the kick-off of the World Cup on June 11th may not have given much thought to things to do when the football is not on.

One national newspaper has published its tips for the six ultimate experiences to seek out during a break in the country.

Among the list from the Daily Telegraph are a stay in a luxury Franschoek retreat, playing a few holes at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort and seeking out the wildlife in the Kruger National Park.

One of the major attractions of the aforementioned golf course is its optional hole, known as the "Extreme 19th". The tee is located on top of a mountain - which is only accessible by helicopter - while the green and hole lie more than 1,400 feet below.

Another must-visit attraction for any movie or history fans is the Fugitives' Drift Lodge at Rorke's Drift, which is the site of the famous 19th century Zulu battle with the British.

Immortalised on film by Michael Caine in the 60s, the location is full of historical significance and boasts stunning scenery, the news provider advised.
