South Africa ideal for glampingSouth Africa could be the ideal destination for those looking to enjoy a bit of glamping, according to an expat.

Bethany Dawson, writing in the Telegraph, believes holidaymakers should consider taking flights to South Africa to experience the new trend of glamorous camping.

She recommends the campsite at Injisuthi, located in one of the Ezemvelo Kwazulu Natal parks and close to the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Mountains range. It is also close to the cities of Durban and Johannesburg and offers stunning views of Cathkin Peak, Monk's Cowl and Champagne Castle.

The Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Mountains are 200km in length and are classed as a world heritage site.

"It is not difficult to understand why camping would be a popular pastime in South Africa when the weather is warm and there are so many wild and wonderful places to explore," explained Ms Dawson.

Many local South Africans also head to the campsite to indulge in some 'back-to-nature' relaxation and to explore the wide range of hiking trails in the area.
