South Africa offers luxury travel People taking flights to South Africa may consider taking a luxury train trip once they arrive.

IB Times claims that train travel on South Africa's Blue Train offers travellers the chance to relax and indulge while exploring the country's landscape.

Taking 27 hours to travel from Pretoria to Cape Town, the five-star train offers a range of hotel comforts including ensuites with baths.

The buffet car offers more than the standard sandwiches and sausage rolls, with a menu of ostrich fillets and Knysna oysters. Dressing for dinner is required and guests can retire to the onboard library for a post-dinner drink.

As well as the Pretoria to Cape Town service, the train also covers a Pretoria to Durban route that includes two nights on the train.

There are two Blue Trains in use, with the first able to accommodate 74 guests in 37 suites, while the second train provides 29 suites for 58 guests.
