Air France to recommence flights to Cape TownAs predicted last month, Air France has announced that it will be resuming flights to Cape Town, with three flights per week as of November 3rd.

The flights will run out of Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport and this new route takes the total number of Air France's South Africa flights to 24.

Cape Town is one of the top tourist destinations in the rainbow nation, with the nearby Table Mountain a popular attraction for many.

South Africa is currently undergoing something of a tourist boom, after the 2010 Football World Cup led to a 15.1 per cent annual increase in visitors.

Passengers can fly direct from Paris in Air France's 309-seater Boeing 777-200, which features 35 of the airline's popular new business class seats.

The new route comes as part of Air France and its partner KLM's African expansion policy, which includes new routes into Sierra Leone, Liberia and Equatorial Guinea.

Air France also operates daily flights from Paris to the major South African city of Johannesburg.
