Thailand - easy on the eye and the walletAnyone looking for a wallet-friendly break this year could consider holidays to Thailand, one website suggests.

According to advisory service Corsavoo.com, Thailand has excellent shops and some wonderful sights to see, without being too expensive to visit.

"Bangkok alone is worth a good few days as there's lots to see and one hidden [gem] is Tiger Temple. Not for the faint hearted, but if you want a once in lifetime adventure, in this place you can go in with live tigers," the website attests.

It adds that the local people are known for their friendly demeanour.

Accommodation in Thailand can cost as little as £2.50 per night and beaches in the country recently made it onto a list of the world's best, compiled by Conde Naste Traveller magazine.

The article also suggested that people going on holidays to Thailand should try the local cuisine, including hot and sour fish ragout and sugar cane juice.
