Holidays to Thailand good valuePeople who need to make their money go further this year may wish to opt for holidays to Thailand, if new research is anything to go by.

According to the Herald.ie, a survey from the Post Office has found that holiday money tends to stretch further in eastern destinations than in more typical European hotspots.

For example, a selection of holiday items including food and sunscreen was found to cost half the price in Thailand than it would in Cyprus, amounting to only £34.

The most expensive destination was found to be Barbados, where the same items would come to a total of £126.

Last month, advisory service Corsavoo.com also suggested that anyone looking for a wallet-friendly break could consider holidays to Thailand.

It said the country has excellent shops and some wonderful sights to see, without being too expensive to visit, while accommodation could cost as little as £2.50 a night.
