Thai Airways offers special fares to boost tourismAnyone booking flights to Thailand soon may be interested to know that Thai Airways is to offer a number of discounted fares in order to boost tourism in the region.

The carrier will offer flights to Bangkok from Dubai for 1,940 United Arab Emirates Dirhams (UAED) (£307), potentially providing good news for those on round the world trips.

Meanwhile, flights to Phuket will be sold for 2,300 UAED, the airline announced.

All of the special fares will be valid through November.

"October and November are excellent months to visit the Far East, with the rainy season coming to an end and delightful daytime temperatures," a Thai Airways spokesperson said.

Last month, it was reported that the newly-completed international airport at Suvarnabhami could make life easier for people heading on holidays to Thailand.

According to Principal International, the municipal city was the top destination for Thai tourists during 2007 and the new hub should provide benefits for both foreign and domestic visitors.
