Holidays to Thailand remain popular with UK travellersHolidays to Thailand have proved popular with British travellers in 2009 despite a weak pound, a new report has shown.

The latest Travel Money Report from M&S Travel Money found that the Thai bart has remained in the top ten most bought currencies throughout the first half of 2009, proving British travellers are still looking to book a holiday in Thailand.

It was also among the top ten currencies to experience an increase in sales during the second quarter of 2009.

Visitors taking a flight to Thailand during July or August will find a range of festivals and events on offer to keep them entertained.

During the month of July, the country celebrates the start of the Buddhist Rains Retreat, which sees thousands of wax sculptures paraded in candlelit processions before being presented to local temples in Thung Si Mueang Park.

August 12th also marks the celebrations in honour of the Queen's birthday.Meet the editors...
