People considering taking holidays to Thailand may be interested to hear what one recent celebrity visitor had to say about the country.

Jayne Middlemiss enjoys holidays to Thailand

TV presenter Jayne Middlemiss has been discovering the delights of Thailand on a recent holiday to the country.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Ms Middlemiss explained that her idea of a perfect break is to visit a spa and somewhere "that is all about wellness".

Her quest for relaxation took her to a resort near Krabi, on the edge of the Chao Mai National Park.

The spa she visited specialised in ayurvedic treatments, which is an ancient Indian wellness system and Ms Middlemiss took full advantage of the programme offered by the resort.

During her trip, she also took part in a Thai cookery course where she learned to prepare her favourite local dish, Pad Thai.

It appears that the nation and its cuisine has won the former Celebrity Master-Chef winner over.

She commented: "I really want to return and see much more of the country, to go up to Chiang Mai, for example and explore the Golden Triangle."

Ms Middlemiss is not the only celebrity to recently express a desire to visit Thailand.

Earlier this month, actress Julia Sawalha told the Daily Telegraph that Thailand would be her next holiday destination.
